Marilyn J. Derry Salters, age 70, of Dickson, passed away on January 20, 2023, at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville.
She was born on January 16, 1953, in Newport, TN, to the late Robert and Lola Finchum Derry.
In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her stepmother: Alice Tidwell; her brothers: Y.J. Derry, Charles Derry, and Earnest Derry; and her sisters: Christine Taylor, Francis Wampler, and Alline Taylor.
Survivors include her sons: Dwight Salters (Sheila) of Burns, Larry Salters, of Dickson, and Donald Watts of Dickson; her sister: Janice Burton, of Lyles; her grandchildren: Jonathon Salters (Tatum) of Clarksville, and Samantha Russell, of Dickson; great-grandchildren: Bennett, Wyatt, and Carlie; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will take place on Monday, January 23, 2023, at 12 noon in the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Sunday, January 22, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Monday from 10 AM until the time of service, also at the funeral home.
