A new locally-owned business is bringing affordable style and a warm, family-friendly shopping experience to downtown Dickson. One of a Kind, a kids’ and maternity consignment shop, officially opened its doors on May 15, 2025, at 224 N Main Street in Dickson.
Owned by husband and wife duo Chris and Jordan Davis, the shop is more than just a place to find great deals — it’s a passion project with deep community roots. Jordan, a registered nurse and Dickson County High School graduate, dreamed of opening a store that made it easier for parents to find quality clothing, toys, gear, and maternity wear without breaking the bank.
“We wanted to create a space that feels calm and welcoming — especially for busy parents,” says Jordan.
“We’ve got everything from everyday favorites to boutique brands, all carefully organized so you can actually enjoy shopping. We even created a playroom to keep the little ones entertained while you browse.” One of a Kind carries gently-used items for every stage of parenting — from newborn through juniors — along with maternity clothing, books, strollers, baby gear, toys, and more. The store aims to provide families with brands they know and love, including options not typically found in the area.
Chris and Jordan moved to Dickson from Spring Hill in 2020 to raise their family in a smaller, tight-knit community. They’re now giving back through their business by donating unsold merchandise to local nonprofits like LoRita’s Open Door and the Dickson County Help Center. One of a Kind is open Wednesday through Saturday from 10 AM to 5 PM and invites the community to stop by, shop, consign, and experience the difference of a store designed with families in mind.
