City of Dickson Recognizes Assistant Chief Sesler For 31 Years Of Service

Dickson Mayor Don L. Weiss Jr. and the City Council recognized Dickson Fire Department Assistant Chief Kane Sesler on his retirement after 31 years with the department.

Mayor Weiss presented Chief Sesler with a proclamation at the Feb. 2, 2026, City Council meeting.
A reception honoring Chief Sesler will be 11 am-1 pm Friday, Feb. 6, in the Fellowship Hall at Walnut Street Church of Christ.

A 1989 graduate of Dickson County High School, Chief Sesler began working for the Dickson Fire Department Jan. 11, 1995. He was appointed Assistant Chief on Feb. 12, 2017.

The proclamation presented by Mayor Weiss recognizes and thanks Chief Sesler for serving the “citizens of Dickson with integrity, honor and dedication for 31 years and 29 days.”

During his service, Chief Sesler has received the Distinguished Service Ribbon, Life Saving Ribbon and Educational Ribbon.

He serves as Treasurer on the Board of Directors of Developmental Services of Dickson County.

Chief Sesler and his wife Kim reside in Charlotte and have two daughters, Sierra Sesler McGee and AnnaLee Sesler-McKinney.
