Brenda Dea (Nelson) Maddox passed away peacefully on the morning of June 22, 2024, after battling breast cancer since 1999, and went into the arms of Jesus to live in her heavenly posh treehouse, with her family at her bedside praying her home.
She never allowed the disease to halt her life or her impact on others. She lived up to the definition of her name, flaming blade of the sword/fiery edge, because she truly was a fiery woman. Her fighting spirit made her a true warrior.
She leaves behind her husband David, children Allison, Zachary and Gillian, grandchildren DeLaney, Shiloh, and Sydelle, Azalea and Declan, and great-granddaughter Nila Marie, siblings Carolyn, Peter, Theresa, Kenneth, Melissa and Benjamin, many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grand nephews, and many beloved friends from all the places her ministry served over the years.
She is greatly loved, will be sadly missed, but she’s gone home and all of us will see her again when it’s our turn to leave this world behind. God bless you, beautiful angel. We love you.
