Garry Maurice Powers, Sr., age 69, of Dickson, TN, passed away on August 27, 2025.
Garry was born on March 17, 1956, in Dickson, TN, to the late Willy P. Powers Sr. and Maxie Marie Berryman Powers. Garry had worked as a custodian for years at Walnut Street Church of Christ. He loved his family and his Lord immensely.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Willie P. Powers, Jr., Thomas Ralph Powers, and his sister, Wanda Lewis Petty.
He is survived by his ex-wife, Jeanie Hagewood, his daughter, Tasha Powers of Montgomery, TX, his son, Garry Maurice Powers, Jr. of Dickson, TN, grandson, Jonmark McLeod of Montgomery, TX, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and other extended family.
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Taylor Funeral Home. https://taylorsince1909.com
