Jane Bruce Mott passed away Sunday, January 26th at Horizon Medical Center at age 90.
She was born April 16, 1934 in Dickson County TN to the late Charles E. and Bonnie (Frazier) Bruce.
Jane graduated with honors from UT Martin receiving a bachelor’s degree. She worked for many years at the College of Agriculture at UT Martin. Jane and her husband, Tom, lived in Union City, TN. After his death in 1997 she stayed in Union City for a few years then moved to Dickson to be closer to her family. Many family members benefited over the years from Jane’s generosity. She loved to travel with her sisters in Tennessee, Alabama, Indiana and Michigan. She was an avid St Louis Cardinals fan and UT Vols fan. Jane also loved to watch old movies; work crosswords & walk. Jane was a member of the Dickson First Methodist church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Mott; her brother, Charles Bruce Jr.; her sisters, Billie Chester, Margie Hamilton, Mary Lee Mackie and Tommie Vest.
She is survived by 2 sisters, Betsy Flick of Canonsburg, PA and Frances (Bill) Unruh of Brownsville, IN. Also surviving are many nieces & nephews.
