Jeanette Buckner Yates, age 84, of Cumberland Furnace, TN passed away peacefully on December 1, 2024 at her home with her family by her side.
Jeanette was born in Dickson County, daughter of the late Roy and Virginia Weems Buckner.
She attended Montgomery Central High School and later earned her RN at Austin Peay University. She worked briefly at the former Dickson General Hospital and Bell Crosby Clinic before becoming a full-time mom and homemaker. Jeanette was a loving wife to Gray for 66 years and a loving and supportive mom to all her children. She was a long-time member of the Cumberland Furnace Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband Granville (Gray) Yates, Jr., her four children, Sherry (Tom) Lynch of Dickson, TN, Elaine (Phil) Littleton of Dickson, TN, Sandra (Johnny) Dowlen of Clarksville, TN and Granville Gray (Grady) Yates III and his wife Donna of Cumberland Furnace, TN. Her 11 Grandchildren and 23 Great Grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home. Tommy Marvin officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday, December 7th beginning at 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Graveside and interment will be private in the Dickson Union Cemetery. https://taylorsince1909.com
