John Paul Luther, 71 years of age, passed away November 12, 2025, at NHC of Dickson.
He was born September 18, 1954, in Wichita, Kansas, to the late, Rebecca Pearl Luther and Charles Hull Luther, Jr.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his daughter Brandi Eaton. He is survived by his sister, Amy Luther-Rockwell, brother in law, Rick Rockwell, their child, Baer Rockwell of Chicago, IL. He is also survived by his ex wife, Pamela Sue “Susie” Eaton of Centerville, TN.
John was a United States Army Veteran. Native American Heritage is a reflection of John’s life. He had various employers through the years. His most fulfilling and enjoyable role was as a vet tech at Denney Animal Hospital. He has several childhood friends who have remained close through the years, Jimmy Fields, Jim Dunaway and David Watson.
The family wishes to thank the dedicated staff of TriStar Horizon Medical Center, NHC of Dickson, and Accent Hospice. They provided John with excellent care and support during his illness. He was treated with kindness, they would listen, to his sometimes long-winded stories, even when they didn’t have time, and they laughed at all his jokes. Also wish to acknowledge the caring support offered by his roommate, Alexis Franklin and her daughter Violet.

Visitation and Funeral services will be Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Dickson Funeral Home & Cremation Center. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the start of service at 12:30 P.M. Funeral services will be in the chapel of Dickson Funeral Home & Cremation Center at 12:30 P.M. Interment will follow in Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery at 2:00 P.M. with Military Honors.
