Joyce Ann Carson Seay, age 79 of Dickson, passed from this life on October 11, 2024, at NHC Healthcare in Dickson.
She was born on January 15, 1945, to the late James M. and Ida Gray Carson in Houston County, Tennessee.
Mrs. Joyce served as a past president for the Tennessee Valley Quilters Association. She also worked as an insurance agent for Shelter Insurance.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two grandsons: Joshua Pate and Zachary Pate.
Survivors include her husband of 39 years: Charles Seay; her children: James Lyndon Pate (Lori) and Joie Lynette “Nett” Pate Kennedy (Larry); stepchildren: Charles Morton Seay, Jr. (Dana) and Joseph Henry Seay (Michele); grandchildren: Briana “Brie” Hutchison (Bryson), Katelyn Seay Murphy (Morgan), Susan Seay, Ashley Seay, and Abigail Seay, Jacob Seay, and Caleb Seay, and four great-grandchildren: Gage Pate, Harper Gray Hutchison, Anniston Murphy and Lofton Murphy.
A memorial service will be conducted on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will take place from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow in the Carson Cemetery in Houston County. http://taylorsince1909.com
