Wendell Haden Turner, age 86 of Lyles, TN passed away Thursday May 8, 2025.
Born in Ohio County, KY he was the son of the late Welby Haden and Madeline Black Turner and was preceded in death by his brother, Glen Turner.
Wendell had worked for Kroger’s. He loved farming and traveling, riding motorcycles and going camping at the river. Anywhere Wendell went he was the life of the party and loved music and eating. He was an U.S. Army Veteran.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Carolyn Turner of Lyles, TN; son, Ricky Reed (Gina) of Lyles, TN; daughters, Wendaleta Mangrum (Donald) of Lyles, TN, Cindy Stone (Roy) of Bon Aqua, TN, Wendy Morgan of Joelton, TN; sister, Carolyn Morrison of Gallatin, TN; sister-in-law, Faye Turner of Dickson, TN; 8 grandchildren, Matthew, Heather, Riley, Kolbi, Whitney, Savannah, Brandon, Britnee; 13 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Monday May 12, 2025 at 2 PM from the Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Trevor Qualls officiating. Place of rest will be in the Turner Family Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Sunday May 11th from 4 to 8 PM and on Monday from 12 PM until time of service. https://taylorsince1909.com
