Chief Seth Lyles and the Dickson Police Department have announced the addition of Officer Jake Slack to the DPD team.
A Dickson County native and 2010 graduate of Dickson County High School, Slack began his public safety career at the Dickson County Jail before serving as a firefighter trained in swift water rescue. He later spent nearly ten years in the mining industry as a licensed explosive specialist, also earning certification in underground mine rescue and performing blasting operations for construction projects.
Slack returned to law enforcement with the Fairview Police Department and later joined the Dickson County Sheriff’s Office, where he served as a patrol deputy, field training officer, and patrol corporal.
Guided by his faith and devotion to family, Slack says he is honored to serve and protect the community he calls home.
