The City of Dickson will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, to mark the official grand opening of its newly certified Tennessee Urban Forestry Council (TUFC) Arboretum at Buckner Park.
The event begins at 1 p.m. and will include remarks from city officials and guests, recognition of the arboretum’s certification, and an opportunity for attendees to explore the diverse collection of tree species now recognized for their educational and environmental value. Light refreshments will be provided.
Located at the City of Dickson Arboretum in Buckner Park, the space is designed to serve the community as a destination for education, conservation, and outdoor enjoyment.
City officials encourage the public to attend and help celebrate this milestone in the city’s ongoing commitment to green spaces and environmental stewardship.
