Chief Seth Lyles and the City of Dickson Police Department proudly congratulate Cpl. Craig Haneline on his well-deserved promotion to Corporal.

A proud graduate of Dickson County High School, Class of 1999, Cpl. Haneline was born and raised in Dickson, TN. Following high school, he answered the call to serve his country as a United States Marine, with combat experience in 2004. After completing his military service, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from East Tennessee State University in 2010.

With a strong commitment to public safety, Cpl. Haneline began his career in corrections and state probation before pursuing his passion to protect and serve in law enforcement. Graduating from the Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy in 2017, where he earned the prestigious Firearms Sharpshooter Award, Cpl. Haneline served as a patrol officer in both Lawrence and Dickson Counties.

A devoted family man, Cpl. Haneline is married to his high school sweetheart, Dr. Amanda Haneline. Together, they are the proud parents of four children. When the opportunity arose to combine his skills with his passion for mentoring youth, he stepped into the role of School Resource Officer (SRO) at his alma mater, DCHS.

“In this role, Cpl. Haneline has demonstrated a remarkable ability to connect with students while ensuring a safe and secure environment. Whether assessing serious situations, assisting colleagues, or supporting students, teachers, and administrators, he approaches every challenge with professionalism, compassion, and dedication. Known for leading Cougar cheers at games, cracking dad jokes, and offering words of encouragement to students in need, Cpl. Haneline is a pillar of the DCHS community,” Dickson Police Department said.
