Dickson Co. Deputy Sent to Hospital After Hitting Cow

February 7, 2024 – Early Wednesday, a patrol deputy with the Dickson County Sheriff’s Office hit a cow on Yellow Creek.

The accident totaled the patrol vehicle and sent the deputy to the hospital with non- life threatening injuries.

Large animals like cows and horses can be very dangerous to motorists if they get out of their fences.

The Dickson County Sheriff’s Office reminds residents with animals such as these to keep fence lines intact. The Sheriff’s Office adds the they respond to calls of horses and cows in the roadway on a weekly basis.
