A woman was killed, and another hospitalized after a multi-vehicle crash near West Haven on Tuesday evening.
The crash occurred around 5:45 p.m. in the 3700 block of New Hwy. 96 West. Franklin Police Department traffic investigators said Kimberly Wallace, 58, of Dickson, sideswipe a dump truck, and subsequently collided head-on with a Honda Accord. Wallace was pronounced deceased at Williamson Medical Center.
The female driver of the Honda was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in critical condition, where she remained as of Wednesday morning. The driver of the dump truck was not injured. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
The roadway was closed for several hours, but reopened to traffic around 10 p.m.
