February 22, 2024 – On February 21, 2024, at approximately 3:16 pm, the City of Dickson Police Department received a 911 call reporting an active shooter at Tennessee College of Applied Technology – Dickson’s main campus at 740 Hwy. 46.
Officers were on the scene within minutes of the call and entered the building to search for the reported intruder. Upon further investigation it was determined to be a false report. Officers cleared the building and accounted for all students and staff.
The building was released back to the TCAT around 5 pm. The investigation into the report is continuing.
