Former Dickson County Sheriff Doyle Sterling Wall passed away at the age of 76 on May 2, 2023.
Dickson County Sheriff’s Office said Wall died Tuesday at his home in Vanleer surrounded by his family.
Wall was a member of the Oak Avenue Church of Christ and lived for his 30-year career in law enforcement. He worked for 11 years at the Dickson County Sherriff’s office. He was the Sherriff of Dickson County for 6 years and then worked for 19 Years at the Dickson Police Department where he retired.
He was the former owner of Wall’s Bar-B-Que in Charlotte, a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, The Sheriff’s Association and Honorary Member of the Charlotte Lions Club.
Visitation will be from 10am to 8pm on Wednesday and 10am to 2pm on Thursday May 4, 2023, at the Spann Funeral Home in Dickson.
Funeral Service for Doyle Wall will be conducted at 2 pm on Thursday May 4, 2023 at the chapel of Spann Funeral Home. Mitch Stevens and Mike Richardson will be officiating.
