Miranda Lambert will be the first artist to take the stage at The Truth, Nashville’s new 4,400-capacity venue in Wedgewood-Houston. More Entertainment News
The three-time GRAMMY Award winner will headline the venue’s inaugural performance on Thursday, Oct. 1, with a special opening-night show titled “Miranda Lambert: One Night Only.”
For the performance, Lambert will be joined by a 12-piece string section as she performs songs from throughout her career and previews selections from her upcoming album, Crisco, which will be released at midnight following the show.
“It was magical to hear the way strings can transform a song when we were in the studio creating this record, and I can’t wait to bring that to life in an even bigger way with our full setlist,” Lambert said in a release. “We’ve never gotten to play that way on stage, and to have the opportunity to do it for the first time at the opening of a beautiful new venue right here in Nashville is going to be really special.”
The concert will officially launch The Truth, a new live music venue designed to showcase artists, songwriting and unique live performances in a more intimate setting.
“There couldn’t be a more fitting artist to open The Truth than Miranda Lambert,” said Sally Williams, president of Nashville Music & Business Strategy for Live Nation. “She’s a songwriter at her core, a trailblazer who has always followed her own creative instincts, and an artist who has never been afraid to push beyond the boundaries of genre.”
Grant Lyman, president of Live Nation U.S. Regions East, said the venue was designed to create a closer connection between artists and their audiences.
“From the beginning, we envisioned The Truth as an intimate room where artists could create deeper connections with their fans,” Lyman said. “Miranda Lambert is an incredible artist to introduce this experience and kick off an inaugural season that reflects the breadth of live music that makes Nashville such an extraordinary music city.”
Tickets for Miranda Lambert: One Night Only go on sale to the public Friday, Aug. 21, at 10 a.m. CT through The Truth’s website.
