Montgomery Bell State Park is hosting multiple events this weekend. From hikes to educational events to trivia, there’s something for everyone happening this weekend at Montgomery Bell State Park.
Friday, August 9th
2 PM- Leaf Collage Animals – Love seeing animals in nature? Come down to the Campground Shelter to make your own! Seasonals Kayla and Haley will show you how!
4 PM- Metamorphosis Mania – Life is full of changes! Join Seasonals Kayla and Haley at the Campground Shelter to learn about the changes some of our animal friends go through!
7:00 PM- Nature Trivia Night – Join Seasonals Kayla and Haley at the Campground Shelter to test your knowledge of the outside world! Prizes will be available.
Saturday, August 10th
10AM – Leave No Trace Hike – Join Seasonal Kayla at the Visitor Center to be led on a 0.7 mile hike where you will learn how to recreate in nature responsibly!
12PM- Web Weavers – Join Seasonal Kayla at the Campground Shelter to learn about our eight-legged friends that we share our home with! Stick around to make your own spider web.
2PM- Reptiles of Tennessee – Slither down to the Campground Shelter to learn about some of the reptiles that call Tennessee home! Seasonals Kayla and Haley will have some of our animal ambassadors for you to meet!
4 PM- Landscaping with Native Plants – Want to help out wildlife at home but don’t know how? Join Seasonal Haley at the Visitor Center to learn how to landscape with native plants in your yard!
7:30 PM- Nocturnal Night Hike – Who stirs at night? Join Seasonal Haley at the Campground Shelter to be led on a ~ 2 mile hike and see what creatures are out!
Sunday, August 11th
10 AM – 12PM – Bird Beak Buffet Table – On your way out, stop by the Visitor Center to play a quick bird diet guessing game!
