Carl David Bishop, Sr., age 81 of Dickson, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2022 at the Horizon Medical Center.
Mr. Bishop was born on September 15, 1940 in Dickson, TN. He was a son of the late Willie Guy Bishop and Dorothy Lucille Hyndman Bishop.
He served his country in the U.S. Army National Guard for 10 years. Carl is most known for his skillful carpentry work. Over the years he has built many homes in Dickson and surrounding counties. He had a great work ethic to complete a job at a high standard. He had a good sense of humor, he was especially good with children, and had a great love for animals. He attended services at the Church of Christ.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Harvey Bishop, Betty McCullom, Jessie Bishop, Lester Bishop, Sadie Black, and Larry Bishop.
Carl Bishop, Sr. is survived by his 4 children, Carl Bishop, Jr. of Dickson, TN, Pamela Bennett of Dickson, TN, Thomas Guy Bishop of White Bluff, TN, and Todd Bishop of Dickson, TN; the mother of his children, Patsy Scott of White Bluff, TN; his sisters, Lela Mai Victory of Lewisburg, TN, and Edith Marie Robison of Dickson, TN. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Taylor Funeral Home. Place of rest will be in the Dugan Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until the time of service. http://taylorsince1909.com
