Carla Renee Hiner Pierce of Cumberland Furnace, Tennessee and Guntersville, Alabama, peacefully passed from earth to Heaven on Monday, June 27th, 2022, with her devoted husband, Rusty, and close friend, Sherry Humphres, by her side.
Renee was born on July 14th, 1964, to Jewel and Betty Hiner in Atlanta, GA but grew up in Sparta, IL.
On July 19th, 1980, Renee married Floyd Pierce, Jr. (Rusty) and together they shared almost 42 years of marriage and adventures, living in Mississippi, Texas, California, Tennessee, and Alabama.
Renee enjoyed making friends in any situation. She had a unique personality mix of kindness, strength, humor, and loyalty. During her 2-year cancer illness, she impressed all who knew her as she fought hard and exhibited grace.
Renee is survived by her husband, Rusty; her twin brother Curtis Jay Hiner; nieces Brittany Pulley, Taylor Hiner, Katy Gonzalez, two great-nieces, and one great-nephew. She is also survived by many members of the Hiner, Gordon, and Pierce families and close friends who will forever cherish their special memories of time spent with Renee.
The funeral service will be Thursday, June 30th at Taylor Funeral Home, 214 N. Main Street, Dickson, Tennessee. http://taylorsince1909.com Visitation from 10:00-11:00 A.M. and Service at 11:00 A.M. Interment will be at 4:30 P.M. in Guntersville, Alabama, Sweet Home Baptist Church, 1474 Union Grove Road, Guntersville, AL.
This is not the end . . . it is Renee’s new beginning.
