Christopher Aaron Battles Obit

Christopher Aaron Battles, Sr., 42 years of age, of Dickson, TN, passed away December 14, 2025.

Christopher was born February 25, 1983, in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, to the late Donnie and Sandra Lee (Scurlock) Battles.

Chris had many hobbies and interests he loved to partake in. He loved to collect knives, had an interest in guns, loved to go fishing, take nature walks in his spare time, enjoy conversations with his children (Christopher Jr., Heather, and Brittany), as well as spending quality time with his girlfriend, Cynthia Cordle and her beautiful children (Julie, Gabby, and Lillie). Chris would always talk about his dreams of one day owning his own boat and taking fishing trips on the ocean. Chris was a gentle kind soul who loved his children, stepchildren, God, and his family very much. His favorite food was cheesecake. Chris was a very simple man. Some interesting facts about him were that he didn’t like to wear collared shirts, he always wore a baseball cap, and he always had his morning cup of coffee. Chris loved Florida. He enjoyed watching fishing shows on TV. Chris loved visiting and staying with his Aunt Joy. They shared so many precious memories together over the past years. She was a huge part of Chris’s life, his growth, and his supporter through all the good and bad times.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Kenneth Battles and Daniel Battles. Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Christopher Aaron Battles, Jr., Heather Battles, Brittany (Battles) Guzman, Lillie Cordle; girlfriend, Cynthia Cordle; stepchildren, Jasmine, Ariel, Juile, Jason, and Gabriella Humphrey; brother, Shannon Battles; and his loving and supportive aunt Joy Magness, as well as his aunts Norma, Carol, and Cathy.
