Claudia Mai Gowin Dixon, age 59 of Vanleer, TN passed away on March 18, 2024 at the Horizon Medical Center.
Claudia was born on July 17, 1964 in Nashville, TN. She was a daughter of the late Dan Gowin, Sr., and the late Evelyn B. Parker Gowin.
She had a humorous outgoing personality. She liked to laugh and cut up with people. She saw that everybody was given a nickname. She enjoyed going out for a drive and hanging out at creeks. She loved her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Jamie Gibbs; and her brother, James C. Gowin.
Claudia is survived by her children, James Bailey of White Bluff, TN, Mary Herity of Charlotte, TN, and Paul Herity of Vanleer, TN; her sister, Sherry Gail Young; her brothers, Dan S. Gowin, Jr., and William S. Gowin. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Meleah, Ryan, Xia, William, Skylar, Adley, Paul, Micheal; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at the Taylor Funeral Home. The burial will follow in the Hutton Cemetery in White Bluff, TN. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 11:00 AM until the time of service. https://taylorsince1909.com
