Dale Deon Burgess, age 83 of Dickson, Tennessee passed from this life on Sunday, March 19, 2023, peacefully in his home.
He was born on August 11, 1939, in Bradford, Pennsylvania to the late Myron Herald and Wilda Allene McCandless Burgess.
He was retired from Carrier as a Manufacturing Engineer. Dale also bravely served his country in the United States Navy. He was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Richard, Jeanette, Judy, and Jackie.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years: Betty Higgs Burgess; his children: Gary Burgess (Patricia) of Sharon, SC, and Amy Beck (Patrick Taylor) of Charlotte, TN; his sister: Linda Crossley (Jim) of Jamestown, NY; his grandchildren: Sarah Sandifer (Michael) of York, SC, Hannah Winker (Greg) of Sharon, SC, Josh Burgess (Ashleigh) of John’s Island, SC, Jacob Beck and Samuel Beck, both of Charlotte, TN; and his great-grandchildren: Aiden Winker, Audrey Sandifer, and Aaron Sandifer.
