  1. We were honored to attend the homegoing celebration for such a kind, and wonderful young man, Darian List on Monday. My son, Titus McBride became friends with Darian while attending Birmingham Southern College in Birmingham, AL. I had the opportunity to meet Darian on two occasions while visiting my son there and each time I was greeted with that big infectious smile. Mary Conrad and Sarah raised a fine young man. I thank God for placing Darian in Titus’s life, he was a very good friend and they did a lot of things together whether they went shopping for rain boots for a class, walking around the fairgrounds at Birmingham wearing oriental bamboo sun hats which they bought there, to late night runs to the cook-out, to following Titus to drop off his car to have his battery replaced. They were both on the football team but didn’t play due to both having had surgery. My heart was warmed to see the outpouring of love shown to Darian and the family by the wonderful City of Dickson, Nashville Christian School, Mt Olive Baptist Church and Burns Baptist Church families and all the family and friends. Darian was truly a light that will be missed. Titus intended to hug his family but his emotions wouldn’t allow him to do so and he sat in the back. We had to leave immediately afterwards to head home 4 hours away but Titus was able to hug Lillie who he met through Darian. I pray the God will continue to comfort the family in this time of sorrow and in the days to follow. “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” Psalm 30:5
