Dorothy Jean “Doris” Hunter Heath, age 61, of Charlotte, Tennessee, passed away at the Residence at Alive Hospice in Nashville, Tennessee, on Friday, December 15, 2023.
She was born in Ashland City, Tennessee, on February 18, 1962, to Lerman Hunter and Elsie (Toler) Hunter.
She embroidered for Eagle Manufacturing.
Doris is preceded in death by her father, Lerman Hunter; brother, Curly Gibbs; and sister, Brenda Lovell.
She is survived by her mother, Elsie Hunter; better half, Eddie Heath; sons, Jesse Heath (Kristen) and Joey Heath; daughters, Amanda Waldron (Matt), Jamie Malone (Michael), and Tina Sutton; brothers, Gary Hunter (Eyvonne), Ray Gibbs, Chris Gibbs, and Sammy Gibbs (Sherry); sisters, Linda Ivey and Debbie Gibbs; grandchildren, Amelia, Lilly, Maddie, Katie Ann, Chase, Brent, Brooke, Lauren, Brady, Tyler, Brandon, Austin, Madison, and Anna; great-grandchildren, Waylon and Krew; and beloved dogs, Swaggey Ray and Spanky Dean.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at 12 noon in the Chapel of Cheatham County Funeral Home with Pastor Daniel Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Liberty Presbyterian Cemetery in Charlotte, Tennessee. Visitation will be Monday, December 18, 2023, from 5 pm to 8 pm, and Tuesday, December 19, 2023, from 10 am until the service hour of 12 noon.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mt. Liberty Cemetery Fund.
