Mr. Earl S. “Jack” Hafner of Charlotte, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2022, he was 94 years old.

He was born on January 24, 1928 in Dickson County to the late Clarence Earl and Virgie Lee Brown Hafner.

He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War Era. Jack retired from Schrader’s after 21 years and was also a carpenter for over 50 years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Etha Porter Hafner; his step-son: Randy Mackey; his brother: Joe Hafner; sisters: Joyce Travis, June Garber, Mary McGuffy, and Wanda Kay Garber.

Survivors include his step-daughter: JoAnna Donegan; his sisters: Kathy Bruce, Jeanette Owen, Linda Williams, and Alice Brake; several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his special nieces: June Overton and Shelia Bettis.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Scott Franklin officiating. Military honors will take place at the funeral home. Visitation with the family will be from 10:00 am until the time of service on Thursday. Place of rest will be in the Dickson County Memorial Gardens.
