Elizabeth “Beth” Mae Vaughn, also known as “Prissy”, age 45, of Dickson, passed away on May 4, 2024, after a battle with cancer.

She was born in Nashville, TN, on February 1, 1979, to Jimmy and Roxanne Hall Vaughn.

Beth worked for several years as a Registered Nurse at both Vanderbilt University Medical Center and Dickson Medical Associates. She was of the Methodist faith.

She was given the name “Prissy” at an early age by her family due to her toughness. She was also a member of the Forbidden Shields R.C. where her husband Jeff serves as the Vice President. She loved to be on her Harley.

Beth also loved to ride horses, traveling to do so on several occasions. She truly loved her family and friends and was considered a “Mama” to several people. She lived out her nickname once again in the last phase of her life, fighting her battle with cancer with courage and outliving all of the Doctor’s professional opinions. She was a very loving and caring person that will be missed by many, many people.

Survivors include her husband: Jeff “Fester” Lackey of Dickson; her children: Levi Conatser, James Conatser, John Wayne Lackey, Jaxson Wyatt Lackey, Makayla Williams (Colton), and Kaylynn Lackey; her parents: Jimmy and Roxanne Hall Vaughn; her brother: Christopher Vaughn; her grandchildren: Charlee Williams, Drue Williams, Keylee Lackey and Jase Lackey; her nephews: Isaiah and Samuel Vaughn; and her special uncle: Brad Hall (Shannon).

She was preceded in death by her son: Kyle Conatser.

A funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home with Donald “Duck” Austin officiating. A burial will follow in the Hall Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be on Friday, May 10, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 12 noon until the time of service. https://taylorsince1909.com
