Eula Ann Batey, age 76 of Burns, TN passed away on May 31, 2024.
Eula was born August 29, 1947 in Dickson, TN. She was a daughter of the late C. V. Buttrey and the late Mallie Mae Sowell Buttrey.
Eula was always a hard worker. Her home was always open to her children and their friends. It was often the place to hang out before and after school, and sometimes during school. Over the years she became everyone’s “gran gran” or “boonie”. She was such a sweet and caring person; she had a very big heart. Anything she had you could have. She loved her children, grandchildren, and her sisters. Before her health declined, she attended services at the Walnut Street Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Lynch, and her husband, Bill Batey, and her sister, Polly Patrick.
Eula is survived by her children, Angie Phillips (Scott), James “Bo” Lawrence Lynch (Gala), and Andrew Scott Lynch (Wendi); her sisters, Helen Barnett Lankford and Betty Hafner (Royce); her grandchildren, Taylor Phillips (Karen), Jason Phillips (Abby), Logan Phillips (Brooke), Daniel Ray Lynch (Helen), Christopher Todd Lynch (Kara) , Kevin Allen Lynch(Ciera) , and Katie Lynch; great-grandchildren, Ava, Braxton, Raelynn, Bentley, Heavenly, Ara, Winston, Hadley, and Sawyer. Also surviving was a special nephew that she loved like a son, Dave Patrick (Christy), and their children, Karter and Ivey, as well as several other nieces and nephews and friends including Kristy Spann (Jason), and their children, Kaylee and Austin, among many more dear friends and family.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, June 7, 2024 at the Taylor Funeral Home. The visitation will be held on Friday from 12:00 Noon until the time of service. https://taylorsince1909.com
