OBITUARY: Fletcher Glenn Whitaker


Mr. Fletcher Glenn Whitaker, age 61 of Vanleer, Tennessee passed away Sunday, March 26, 2023 at his home.

He was born on January 31, 1962, in Nashville, TN.

Mr. Whitaker served in the United States Army, and after being honorably discharged, served in the National Guard. His service years were from 1979 to 1988. Glenn was a carpenter by trade and a former member of the Dickson Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, playing the guitar, stock car racing, and fixing anything with a motor. Glenn loved his family dearly and his dog, Piper.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 pm Tuesday, March 28th and from 9:00 am until service time Wednesday, March 29th at Spann Funeral Home. Funeral Services for Glenn Whitaker will be conducted at 1:00 pm Wednesday, March 29, 2023, in the Spann Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steven Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Williams Cemetery in White Bluff, TN.

3 Nieces and 1 Nephew:
Nikki Holland (Jeremy), Sammi Nelson (Jon), Catlin Jones, Bo Jones
