Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Burns Baptist Church, with Bro. Aaron Terkecki officiating. Visitation will take place at the church beginning at 1:00 PM until the time of service. Interment will follow in the Dickson County Memorial Gardens.
Geneva K. Burgess, age 95, of Burns, TN, passed away on December 23, 2022.
Geneva was born January 27, 1927, in Abilene, TX to the late William Kirk and Florence Barnett Kirk. Of all the many things she did in her life, raising 6 children that served the Lord was her greatest achievement. She also was known for her love of singing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Burgess, and her sons, Robert and Allen Burgess.
She is survived by her sons, John Burgess of Ft. Worth, TX, Glenn Burgess of Wichita, KS, Edward Burgess of Wichita, KS, Daughter, Trisha Fair of Dickson, TN, 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
