George Michael White, 65 years of age, passed away on January 13, 2026, at the TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN.
George was born August 14, 1960, in Nashville, TN, to the late Archie and Eunice (Kennedy) White.
He is known for having a quiet demeanor, who is also exciting, with a big sense of humor, a loving spirit, and always there to lend a helping hand. After graduating from trade school as an ironworker, George quickly became known for his hard work and attention to detail. Outside of his professional endeavors, George was deeply involved in the Sons of Confederate Soldiers, where he served as President, demonstrating his commitment to heritage and history. George’s love for thrill and speed was evident in his membership with the Cheaters car racing team, applying the metal for the car bodies. He found joy in the roar of engines and the close-knit community of fellow racing enthusiasts. This excitement was balanced by the quieter moments he cherished, collecting pocket knives, a hobby that showcased his appreciation for craftsmanship and history. Music and concerts were another source of delight for George. He was a man of many layers—funny, loving, hardworking, exciting, and quiet. Each facet of his personality shone brightly, illuminating the lives of those he touched.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his Uncle and Aunt, Wilson and Bessie White. Those left to cherish his memory are Karon Zumbrum-White; children, Jessica (Brad) McCarty, Alyson (Brad) Furline, and Sarah (James) Mullinax; grandchildren, Kaden, Kale, Tatum, Myer, Pratt, Tucker, and Adaleigh; siblings, Susan White, Kenny (Pam) White, Sandra Sanker; and nephews, Casey (Nicole) Buttrey and Josh (Amanda) Sanker.
A Memorial Gathering will be Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at Dickson Funeral Home & Cremation Center from 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.
