It is with earthly regret that we let you know Glenn Warren Pittman, age 69, of Dickson, TN, changed his address to 777 Highway Heaven on August 24, 2024.
Glenn was born June 7, 1955, in Nashville, TN, to Warren Glenn Pittman and Phyllis Ann (Jean) Pittman.
Glenn lived a full happy childhood being raised by his grandparents Burl and Bonnie Deason and his parents until 5 years old, he went to Clover Bottom and came home every weekend. It took all of them to see that he was cared for.
Glenn’s life after leaving Clover Bottom in 1973 was even better with much thanks to Developmental Services of Dickson County leadership and staff. Glenn was able to work with job coaches and buy his own home and made the front page of Dickson Herald doing so. Glenn was a very loving, outgoing gentleman that would have been president if he had been normal. Doctors advised his family he would never see his 13th birthday. He managed to get through life without being able to read nor write. He overcame every pit that was threw at him.
Glenn has very special friends in Betsy, David and Greg Porter and their crew. He loved them and they loved him.
Glenn leaves behind one sister, Vivian Pittman, his niece, Windy Brook Davis, his dog, Fred and his slew of friends at Developmental Services.
There will be no service at this time. Glenn’s wishes were to be cremated.
There will be a Graveside Inurnment ceremony this fall in Woodlawn Memorial Park in Nashville, TN.
