Harriet English Jordan, better known to her friends and family as “Sissy” passed away peacefully at her home on June 6, 2022. Her family was at her bedside.
She was born in Davidson County, daughter of Harriet Jones Jordan and the late Omer H. Jordan, Jr. She was the granddaughter of the late Hilda and Omer H. Jordan, Sr. and Marjorie and Foster Jones, Jr.
Sissy spent her younger years in Nashville and was a part of the Regional Intervention Program. Later the family relocated to Dickson County where Sissy was involved with the Developmental Services of Dickson County.
She had the best caregivers and made many wonderful friends throughout her years. She will always be remembered by her beautiful blue eyes and her captivating smile. She was an angel of a young lady and will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her mother; Harriet Jones Jordan, her brother; Omer H. Jordan III, her niece; Lilly Ann, her aunt; Ellen J. Gross and her uncle; Foster Jones III, her cousins; Jane Ellen Taylor, Philip Howard Morris, Marjorie Elizabeth White, and Elizabeth Love Holzapfel.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted Friday, June 10, 2022 at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Nashville, TN at 3:00 p.m. The Rev. Sam McGlothlin will officiate. Place of rest will be with her family at Mt. Olivet. There will be a visitation on Friday prior to graveside services at Taylor Funeral Home between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. http://taylorsince1909.com
