J. Dempsey Sutton, age 86, of Dickson, TN, passed away on January 18, 2025.
Dempsey was born in the Defeated Creek area of Smith County, TN, on May 29, 1938, to the late J Logan Sutton and Olean Brockett Sutton.

Survivors include his daughters, Michelle Davis (Tom) of Spring Hill, TN, Elissa Finchum (Andy) of Athens, AL, grandchildren, Mason Lanius, Caylor Bryant (Andy), Riley Finchum, nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
