Jackie-Graylon-Moseley

Jackie Graylon Moseley, a dedicated law enforcement officer and a cherished family man, passed away on September 11, 2024 at the age of 73.

Born on September 19, 1950, Jackie devoted his life to serving others, beginning his career as a Constable of Dickson County. His steadfast commitment to his community propelled him through a distinguished tenure at the Dickson City Police Department, where he proudly retired as a Sergeant. Even after retirement, his passion for public service continued, as he further contributed his skills to the Burns Police Department.

Beyond his remarkable career, Jackie was a beloved husband and father, whose love for his family knew no bounds. He treasured the moments spent camping under the stars, where laughter and love filled the air. His deep faith guided his life, as he found solace in reading the Bible and sharing its teachings with those around him. A sports enthusiast, Jackie passionately supported the Tennessee Titans, celebrating their victories with infectious enthusiasm.

Jackie’s heart grew even warmer during his quarterly police retiree dinners, occasions that his daughter Kim often accompanied him to, creating lasting memories filled with camaraderie and joy. Each gathering was a testament to the bonds he cherished, a gathering of like-minded individuals who shared a common history and respect for each other’s service.

Jackie’s love extended to his faithful dog, Peddy “Buddy Boy”, who brought joy and companionship to his life. He embraced every moment, from quiet evenings at home to joyous rides on his four-wheeler that filled his heart with exhilaration and freedom. He loved his country fiercely, living out his values through a life of integrity, service, and faith.

More than just a man of the badge, Jackie Graylon Moseley was a loving husband, a doting father and grandfather, and a true friend to many. His legacy will continue to shine through the countless lives he touched, and though he may no longer walk among us, his spirit will forever resonate in the hearts of those he loved profoundly. As we remember Jackie, let us hold close the memories of his kindness, his laughter, and the unwavering love he brought to his family and community.
