James Edward Hammon, age 71 of Dickson, Tennessee, passed away on May 2, 2025.
Mr. Hammon, known to many as “Polack,” was born July 15, 1953 in Fairview, TN.
He was a member of the Burwood Community for over 40 years before moving to Dickson. He was a son of the late Hubert Hammon and the late Nellie Tidwell Hammon.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Trevar Reed Hammon; and a great grandchild, Joy Brown.
He retired from the Williamson County Highway Department with 28 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, spending time with his family and telling a good joke.
Mr. Hammon is survived by his wife, Mary Plemons Hammon; his daughter, Cinda Brown (Derek); son, James Patrick Hammon; siblings, Thomas Hammon (Shirley) and Mildred Phillips (Dewey); 3 grandchildren, Taylor Brown (Ally), Ashlyn Brown, Addison Brown; 3 great grandchildren, Gatlin, Mason, and McCallan; and special great nephew, Trent Tomlin.
