James H. Burns, age 59 of White Bluff, TN passed away on June 2, 2024 at the Horizon Medical Center.
James was born December 24, 1964 in Dickson, TN. He was a son of the late Coleman Patrick “Pat” Burns and the late June Marie Price Burns.
James was always a strong hard-working man. He lived on his terms, he did things his way, perhaps a bit old-fashioned. He had a humorous personality; he was always stirring up laughter.
James was adventurous and enjoyed the outdoors. Some of his favorite hobbies included canoeing, fishing, and rappelling. Nothing affected his life more than the unnecessary death of his daughter, Jamie Leanne Burns.
James loved his family and friends dearly for helping him through the difficult years that followed that tragic event. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Joni Marie Davis.
James is survived by his brothers, Mark Burns (Kirsten), and Johnny Burns; his sisters, Janet Burns Howell (David), and Brenda Burns Bearden (Tim); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews & cousins. James also leaves behind many friends, including his best friends Rusty and Nancy Donaldson.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at the Taylor Funeral Home. The visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of service. At a separate time, James will be laid to rest at Williams Cemetery. https://taylorsince1909.com
