Janice Anita Mumford, age 77, passed away on December 11, 2025, in Nashville, Tennessee.
Born on March 31, 1948 in Nashville, Tennessee, Janice was a graduate of William James High School and Tennessee State University. A proud business owner, Janice ran an insurance and bail bond agency for over 30 years. In a September 1988 news article about Janice in The Dickson Herald, she shared her philosophy about business saying, “Other than a love of people, the most important trait to develop in your business or personal life is dependability — people need the built-in trust of knowing you’ll be there for them. This is what I’ve always wanted to do.”
Memorial Gathering: will be held Thursday, December 18, 2025 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at Spann Funeral Home in Dickson, TN to visit with her loved ones.
