Funeral services for Jennie Reep Kimbro, age 94 of Dickson, will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 19, 2021, from the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Donnie Craig officiating. Visitation with her family will take place Sunday from 11 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow in the Kimbro Family Cemetery. For those desiring, memorials are suggested to the Kimbro Family Cemetery Fund. She died Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Humphreys Co. Care and Rehab. in Waverly.
Born in Dickson County, Tennessee, Jennie was a daughter of the late Rolland and Mary Garrett Reep.
She was married to Hurman Kimbro, who preceded her in death in 2002. She was also preceded by her brothers, Harvey Reep, Rolland Reep, Jr., Calvin Reep, and Walter Reep; her sisters, Elda Allen, Berta Hassell, Mary Donegan, and Eleanor Martin; and by her daughter-in-law, Nancy Kimbro.
Jennie was a member of Pomona Baptist Church. She loved her family and provided for them well by her cooking and baking skills and her canning and food preservation abilities.
Survivors include her two sons, Robert Kimbro and Paul Kimbro, both of Dickson; daughter-in-law, Kim Kimbro, Dickson; six grandchildren, Rob Kimbro (Rachel), Jennifer Walther (Aaron), Kristy Garmon (Daniel), Amanda Little, Joseph Kimbro, and Kevin Kimbro; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Rita Daugherty and Leta Stinson, both of White Bluff; several nieces and nephews.
