Mr. Jim Hugh Harbison, age 86 of Dickson, TN passed away Sunday, February 19, 2023, at Christian Care Center in Medina, TN.
He was born December 17, 1936, in Dickson County, TN.
Jim served as an MP in the United States Army during the Korean War. After being honorably discharged, he decided to further his education by obtaining his master’s degree in education. Jim worked as a 7th & 8th grade math/science teacher; and served as a coach, guidance counselor and principal during his 38 years with the Dickson County Board of Education.
He loved the Lord and was a member of the Dickson First Baptist Church. Jim was an avid golfer and achieved 2 hole-in-ones. Above all, he was a loving husband, father, and granddad who will be deeply missed.
Mr. Harbison’s wishes were to be cremated. Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm until service time Saturday, February 25th at Spann Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life for Mr. Harbison will be conducted at 4:00 pm Saturday, February 25, 2023, in the Spann Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mike Miller officiating. https://www.spannfuneralhome.com
