Mr. Joe R. Crocker age 80, of Dickson, Tennessee passed away at Vanderbilt Medical Center on Monday, April 3, 2023.
Born in Kingston Springs, Joe was the son of the late Cleo Taylor Crocker (Miller) and the late J. G. Crocker.
He served his country for 10 years in the United States Marine Corps. Joe retired as a mechanic, having worked mostly as a diesel mechanic on 18-wheelers. He was a member of the East Hickman United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his life partner of 28 years, Linda Gourley, Dickson; his daughter, Robin Cochran, Nashville; step-children, Scarlett McMeen (Joseph), Todd McElyea, and Chuck McElyea; sisters, Janice Crocker, White Bluff, and Judy Harris (Robin), Ashland City; a granddaughter, Catherine; step-granddaughter, Zoey, special grandson and Joe’s sidekick, Cash McMeen; several other bonus grandchildren; several half-brothers and sisters.
He will be cremated and a celebration of the life of Mr. Crocker is being planned by the family and East Hickman United Methodist Church and will be announced on this website as plans become available. http://taylorsince1909.com
