Larry Henry Rodgers, of Burns, Tennessee, passed away at his home on May 9, 2023, after a vigorous battle against cancer.

Larry was born at Dickson General Hospital on January 26, 1945, to Herman Odell Rodgers and Ollie Armstrong Rodgers, and was a life-long resident of Dickson County. In 1970, Larry married his soulmate, Barbara. Larry and Barbara made their lives in Burns, along with their two children, Denise and Chris.

After thirty years of service at a local plumbing shop, Larry’s dream of creating his own business came true. On July 3, 2001, Larry’s Plumbing Repairs, Inc. was established. For twenty-two years, Larry and Barbara worked tirelessly and considered it a privilege to serve their community through their company.

Larry will be forever known for his fun-spirited personality, infectious laughter, giving heart and steadfast friendship. He had a deep-rooted love for his family that will live on in all of us.

Larry was predeceased by his parents, Herman Odell Rodgers and Ollie Armstrong Rodgers, as well as his son, Larry Christopher Rodgers.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Rodgers; and his daughter, Denise Baker (Chas). Endlessly remembered by his grandchildren, Tyler Baker, Stuart Baker (Regina), Lauren Eckard (Joshua), Victoria Banda (David), and Britney Leigh (Eland). Forever cherished by his great-grandchildren, Cadence Baker, Charlotte Baker, Joseph Baker, Lilliana Baker, Magnolia Eckard, Penelope Leigh, and Nolan Eckard. Additionally remembered by his daughter, Juanita Morgan and her husband, and her son, Talan Hagen, and her predeceased son, Jason Jones.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 12, 2023, at the Taylor Funeral Home. The place of rest will be Memory Gardens in Centerville, TN. The visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Friday from 9:00 AM until the time of service.
