Linda-Irene-Wales

Linda Irene Wales (née Shell) grew up in rural Kentucky and Ohio of humble parents. Her father worked various jobs including coal mining in KY. She lived a full and blessed life enjoying the love of her family.

She was the true matriarch of her extended 42 member family and worked hard to stay involved in everyone’s life. Her mottos were “live your life with no regrets” and “God will take care of me”. She was employed for thirty years and afterward lived a full life. She traveled, painted, studied law with getting her degree, and most importantly, spent time with family, especially her grand and great-grandchildren.

She was generous almost to a fault with others and always made sure to help all who needed help and love. She experienced cancer twice in her life (more than anyone should have to) first with colon cancer which she beat after a long battle and pancreatic cancer. She was an optimist and never backed down from any fight including her cancers. She was a true coal miners daughter and never forgot her humble roots.

“If there is a life after death, I will be there waiting for you”
