Margaret Alice Baker Duke, age 96, of Dickson, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2022, in her home.
She was born in Dickson County on July 16, 1926, to the late Austin and Hilda Bowker Baker.
She worked for several years as a cook and cafeteria worker for the Dickson County Board of Education.
Ms. Duke was of the Pentecostal faith. She also had a love for cooking. She was a great cook and also thoroughly enjoyed watching wrestling.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Orland Russell Duke; her daughter: Barbara Ann Rice; her grandson: Cody Smith; six sisters; two brothers; a great-grandson; and a great-granddaughter.
Survivors include her daughters: Sherry Sue Smith (David) of Burns, and Linda Faye Wells of Dickson; her grandchildren: Scotty Wells, Mark Wells, Todd Wells, Wendell Wells, Phillip Wells, Tammy Wilson, Ritchie Rice, and Trent Smith; as well as 9 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, July 27, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Aaron Terlecki and Bro. Ron Melton officiating. Place of rest will be in the Jackson Chapel Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday from 12 noon until the time of service. http://taylorsince1909.com
