Margie Lorene Moran Hagewood, age 79 of Cumberland Furnace, TN passed away on August 24, 2024 at the NHC in Dickson, TN.
Mrs. Hagewood was born July 30, 1945 in Dickson County, TN. She was a daughter of the late Sylvester and Anna Margaret Felts Moran.
She enjoyed quilting and gardening. She loved her flowers and found joy in the peacefulness of watching hummingbirds dance across her garden. Above all, she loved her family. Her mother died when Margie was only 14 years old, and since that day she was like a mother to each of her siblings. Every week on Wednesday, Margie and her siblings, known as the “lunch bunch,” would gather at her home for a meal.
Mrs. Hagewood was preceded in death by her husband, George Leo Hagewood, Sr.; her siblings, Raymond Moran, Alice Siegler, and Leo Moran.
Margie is survived by her daughter, Lori Green (Tom); her sons, Chris Hagewood (Christine), Leo Hagewood (Jennifer), Marshall Hagewood (Teresa); her siblings, Margaret Carrington (Gary), Ronzo Moran (Wanda), Birdie Bishop (Joe Bledsoe), Nancy Hamm (Clint Mosley), Diana Hotchkiss (Jim); sisters-in-law, Ruth Moran, and Doris Moran; brother-in-law, Richard Siegler; grandchildren, Scotty Hagewood (Gennifer), Spencer Hagewood (Brittany), Tiffany Leatherwood (Jamey), Kirk Hagewood (Ashley), Dusty Hagewood (Suzanna), Rayden Hagewood, Maddox Hagewood, Brianna Hagewood, Casey Osborne (Wesley), Taylor Green (Katelyn); several great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at the Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Herndon officiating. The visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. https://taylorsince1909.com
