Mrs. Nora A. Tidwell, age 94 of Bon Aqua, Tennessee, passed away on June 7, 2025 at the Alive Hospice Residence in Nashville, TN.
Mrs. Tidwell was born on December 22, 1930, in Williamson County. She was a daughter of the late Washington “Wash” Stinson and the late Lona Irene Lampley Stinson. She retired from the Scott Fetzer Company, France in Fairview, TN. She had worked as a cook in numerous local restaurants. Her greatest love was her family, she was a loving mother and grandmother.
Nora was preceded in death by her husband, William Clyde Tidwell; 3 sons, Steve, Tommy and Barry Tidwell; and 8 siblings, Presley, Royce, David, Wash Jr., Dalton, Boyd, Martha, and Mae.
Mrs. Tidwell is survived by her sons, Darrell Tidwell (Lisa Tidwell), Jeffrey Tidwell; daughters, Sheila Poteet (Ray Poteet Jr.), Vanessa Ann Hinnant (Keith Hinnant); 2 sisters, Betty and Gladys; 14 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at the Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Nathan Wilkerson officiating. Burial will follow in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
