Patsy Ruth Harris Gilbert, age 82 of Dickson, TN passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2023 at Dickson Health and Rehab in Dickson.
Born in Nashville, TN, Patsy was the daughter of the late Homer and Ruby Ring Harris.
Patsy and her late husband, of 63 years, Clarence “Buford” Gilbert were owners and operators of several different businesses throughout the years. Including, and probably mostly remembered as the owners of the “Games People Play” game room located in Downtown Dickson.
For many years, Patsy was an avid league bowler at the Bowl-O-Rena in Dickson County. She also coached women’s softball for the Bank of Dickson. Patsy was a lover of baseball. She rarely ever missed an Atlanta Braves game.
Patsy is preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Ruby Harris; her brothers, Ronnie and Mike Harris; her sister, Betty Jean and her son, Cromer Gilbert.
Patsy is survived by her sons, Ron (Dena) Gilbert of Dickson, TN, Troy Gilbert of Nashville, TN; daughter, Judy Brown of Erie, PA; 11 grandchildren, Heather, Ryan, Matt, Mitch, Jessica, Melissa, Andrew, Cory, Nick, Cody and Kayla; 22 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren; and a very special friend in the end, Marleen Cunningham.
