Paul Joseph “Pops” Hunter, age 92 of Dickson, TN died on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2025. Paul was born on August 23, 1933 in Nashville, TN. He was a son of the late Horace Knight Hunter and the late Etta Lorine Martin Hunter.
Shortly after completing high school, Paul joined the U. S. Army, serving during the Korean Conflict. For over 30 years he worked in sales, covering a territory across 4 states. In later years he was a salesman for Middle TN Lumber. He was a faithful and devoted servant of God. For many years he humbly accepted the role of teaching a men’s Bible study on Sunday mornings.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, Emma Ruth Rogers Hunter; his brother, Horace K. “Buddy” Hunter.
Paul is survived by his six children, Terri Hunter Davis, Paula Hunter Raper (Steven), Athena Proctor (Dean), Lesa Fielder (Tim), Annette Foster (Wesley), Gordon Jackson (Monique); his 17 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren.
A funeral service was held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at the United Free Will Baptist Church, 784 Hwy 46 South, Dickson, TN. https://taylorsince1909.com
