Ranny Kay Cude Stiltner, age 78 of Dickson, TN passed away peacefully on January 18, 2025, at NHC in Dickson, TN.
Kay was the widow of the late Lawrence Eugene Stiltner who preceded her in death in 2004. She was a loving and giving wife to Lawrence all the days of his life. She was born in Dickson County and was the daughter of the late Ray B. and Maggie Lee (Peggy) Donegan Cude.
Kay loved and adored her family. She was a loyal and faithful member of the United Freewill Baptist Church in Dickson. She loved her church, and its members were part of her family. Kay formerly worked as a machine operator for the local pants factory and shirt factory here in Dickson.
Even though she had no children of her own Kay was a good and loving mother to all her nieces and nephews. Kay was an excellent cook and love cooking all the game that her husband, Lawrence, could kill and bring in. One of her signature dishes was her deer meat chili and she could make some tasteful and delightful squirrel gravy. Kay loved spending time out of doors with her husband fishing and collecting rocks and feathers of all kinds. Also, in her spare time she loved to sew and was a good seamstress.
She was a member of the 46’s Pen Pal Club who would write and exchange cards and letters to those born in 1946. Her pen pals were from all over the United States.
Kay is survived by her two sisters, Lynda Cude Stiltner of Bon Aqua, TN and Joy D. Little of Murfreesboro, TN, her two brothers, Gary Ray Cude (Judy) of Dickson, TN and Rob Cude (Lesa) of Dickson, TN. Several nieces and nephews, several great nieces and nephews and several great-great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Tommy Luther officiating. Visitation will be on Friday evening, January 24, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday beginning at 11:00 a.m. until time of service.
